For anyone who is looking for turquoise engine enamel, I bought a couple of cans from Mancini and it is pretty much an exact match to the Mopar turquoise that I had used on the bolt on parts, and that you can't get anymore.

Just for the record...VHT is pretty darn close...not exact....but not bad for when those NOS supplies dry up!

How has this paint held up? Did it dry and harden properly? I had the engine shop spray a 383 after rebuild for me with OER rattle cans that I bought from Classic Industries and it is awful. Engine shop got their greasy pawprints all over the valve covers and when I tried to clean the finger prints/oil/grease off with IPA, the paint softened immediately. Wax/grease remover had the same results. So have to strip the engine and respray. Debating whether to go rattle can or spray with a gun using Bill Hersch engine enamel. VHT is not producing the turquoise(69) any longer.

I bought a few cans of the Bill Hersch to do a better set of valve covers after my engine was painted with the Mopar turquoise. It wasn't even a close match and the paint quality (rattle can) was terrible. It took so many coats to cover and 1 can was a dud it only sprayed clear no idea what was up with that. Its holding up ok.

With shipping to Canada it was not cheap paint and was disappointing to say the least.

It has held up really well so far, what you can see of it.

Mopar rattle can on one engine, didn't hold up very well.

Bill Hersch in a can, brushed on, it's iron clad.

Both prepped the same, degrease, hit it with a map gas torch, scrubbed it down.

Bill Hersch is a shade lighter, looks way better, imo.

I just pulled out the old Bill Hersch can recently, after a few years, painted a bellhousing with it. As good as new.
