Uh Oh: Wife Actually DID Want Something For Christmas

My wife and I exchanged small gifts a few things each other wanted or needed. One of our early gifts for each other was our new dog Hope, pure bred blue tick heelers are not cheap anymore. We also reserved a spot down on the Chesapeake Bay from May 1st- end of November so we will be spending more time down there during 2026.

I bought his and hers Trump watches. She did say over and over she didn’t want anything (and actually meant it lol) but she has wanted a new watch for a while, so I sprang for them.
like when they say they don't want fries & they eat all of yours

smart man, keep her happy, great choice I must say too

when they say; 'that they don't want anything',
IMO that means they expect something special/thoughtful, not the same ol' crap
read between the lines, they don't usually think like we do
& we 'believe it', when they say something like that, 'usually'

(after growing up with 5 sisters, I raised 4 girls & several long-term female relationships,
after their mother was gone... I learned or they taught me well)

I bought her a $35 "pool heater" that redirects water from the pump into a garden hose you coil up and then let flow back into the pool.

Haven't tried it yet, but she loves it.

Supposed to be good for 3 degrees.

Here in FL, there are many days where it's 2-3 degrees too cold.

BTW she wanted a pool. I didn't.

It's her pool. She paid for it, she maintains it. I only offer advice.

I've been in it twice.

I do sit on the deck and drink beer, while watching her swim/float around in a bikini.
