as an FYI and those not dedicated to Mopar only items, I'd been looking for the air filter element for my
68 Dodge /440 engine . I found NOS filters on ebay for as high as $195.00???, cheaper in the $35.00 range but a search led me to O'rielly auto parts and they have a wix replacement filter for under $10.00 P/N 42043.
wix makes filters from go karts to diesel trucks and their filters are among the best, I doubt anyone will rip off the air filter top to see what filter your running.
I have leftover kickdown linkage for mid 70's mopars with 727 and B block, if any need them write me I'll send the linkage for cost of shipping. 1 complete ,one missing a rod linkage clamp thank my dog for the missing part.

OK, I'm going to amend this post as the airfilter I posted is TO TALL. thecorrect filter is just 2-1/2 to 2-3/4 tall, this one is 3-1/2" tall and puts the air filter top into the hood. it would work with a drop base but those are not available, sorry for posting incorrect data.

Drop base is available using a Proform "Ford" #302-350 air cleaner

K&N have filter elements for the unsilenced air cleaner 2 3/4 " x13" dia. The silenced air cleaner uses the 3 1/2" x 13" element, have both. Using the drop base to fit a taller intake

I have an unsilenced cleaner and filter, can't use it though the 493 can't get enough air from it lol good for stock looks on the 383 that is sitting the stand in my garage.
