USS Indianapolis wreckage discovered

Saw in our newspaper last week or so that one of the survivors lives in Akron area. 94 I think.

Very interesting stuff ! God bless themb all. I hope they don't disturb the ship to much ! I can say explore it is ok but leave it where it sits and don't take anything! That is basically a cemetery and needs to be respected! Why these people bother looking for stuff is beyond me leave it alone before the left side people that want all history destroyed because it hurts there feelings. They will want to raise the boat and kick the bones around to teach them a lesson they were being racist towards japs. I'm going to stop now before I cause a problem.

God Bless the men and women of WW II.The inconceivable hardships and sacrifice they endured will never really be known or understood by many.We owe them more than a lot. we owe them everything. I make sure I thank a veteran every time I see one.

Must read book! You won't put it down !

It is nearly impossible to comprehend what the men AND women went through in those days. Bataan death march, Guadalcanel, Coral Sea, Midway, etc. On to Iwo Jima, and all the others. My father piloted a B-24 in the South Pacific in 1942 &1943 and only spoke about a very few stories. None of them were good. We would watch Victory at Sea on Saturday afternoons. Sometimes he would say, ya I was there.

What the Navy did to the captain was inexcusable

The brass in the Navy are often too harsh on the Captains of vessels after tragedy.
