When replacing valve stem seals is it a good idea to install new keepers or to leave the old Parts worn together in place?. I wonder if new keepers would cause more wear between themselves and the valve stem and be a poorer choice

I have changed many seals over the years and never changed or even thought about changing valve locks. I might if my engine could rev to 12,000 rpm.

Thanks Mike, mine will probably wrap to about 1200 LOL

I'd visually inspect the locks, if they show signs of wear replace them, if not run um.
