Varmits

Build a trap, I put a 5 gallon bucket with antifreeze in the bottom, and a dowel through it, then a can on the dowel, cover the can with PB, and build a ramp to the can (about an inch away so they have to jump on it.
You will come out to a pile of dead mice in the bottom of the bucket.

it works, If you want proof Ill take a picture of the 2 I have in my shed, they have about 15 mice in them

That is so cool.Nice Macgyver rig there i say,

My brother in law makes a bunch of these, he pushes a tiny razor blade into the zip tie (like a safety blade razor), and he uses a 2lb weight. Hes a sinister sob, I seen the aftermath of his trap, my mice look much more peacefull, his are in pieces

I am looking at anyone out there who may have a solution.
You don't need a cat. If that car is to sit outside for an extended length of time, build a nice tight fence around it and clad it with chicken wire. Buy yourself a few Guinea Pigs (Hamsters) and look after them. Build them a small hutch for warmth.
Guinea Pigs HATE rats, Mice and other small rodents...they go viral and will kill other small rodents.
That cute and cuddly ball of fur that kids play with, is a born & bred killer to certain animals.

Trust me, my buddy MowPar uses the same technique at his home.

A friend uses Irsh Spring soap. Swears it works m. Much better smell than moth balls
and you don't have to worry about them falling every time you move your arms.

put the car on jack stand with 12"x 12" 3/4 inch plywood square on top of stands ...... done and done

Soak cotton balls in peppermint oil. The essential oil. Smells way better than moth balls and actually works.
Put the soaked cotton balls in/on a bottle cap or coffee cup lid to prevent any possible staining.

Innovative, but seems like a bit more work than needed when a regular old rat trap will do just as well.

snap trap catches 1, has a bunch of risks (dogs getting snout snapped, me forgetting its on the shelf then looking for a screwdriver on said shelf and then snapping my finger causing my fingernail to fall off and leading to 2 months of on and off pain and aggravation, costs a couple bucks each, snap in middle of night making the dogs go crazy and wake the neighborhood, you have to actually touch them to dispose.

Bucket will catch 20 if they are there, you can just dump it out and put fresh antifreeze (windshield washer fluid, I just dump mine in the woods), make it with trash around the yard, and impress your friends when they come over :)
