Funny but true story. Long ago I had a camper that I needed a place to store. Really, never to use again. Anyway, I took it out to a friend's farm. It sat there for probably 5-10 years. Never thought twice about it. Then one day it got toppled in one of our wonderful chinook winds. So we stood it back up and I decided to have a look inside to see if anything was wrecked. Now, the first thing I found was an old Ironman watch of mine, that was still keeping time. That was pretty cool. But then I opened a cupboard and found a 6 pack of buttertarts (cheap store bought ones). Not anything unusual about that other than sitting on a farm for 5-10 years and not even nibbled on by a mouse. Once that dawned on me I had a good look around. There wasn't a single mouse **** in the camper. Reason, 20 or so cats. 3 or 4 house dwellers and a bunch of farm guards. Kinda blew me away, but I saw it with my own eyes. I am now down to one cat at the acreage here, but we have no mice in the house or my shop. Every once in a while we find half a mouse at the steps though. Offerings from the mouser / master!
