my AMX was under geared for launch........I had to "ride the clutch like a bicycle" to get it off the line

Showing your age talking about babbitt bearings I still think Flatty V8s are cool.

There was a guy at Spring Carlisle that was building hard tail motorcycles using the small Ford flat head V8. Really clean, simple looking bike that had a great sound using straight pipes.
