From what I see I have to have the cable set and a different hood latch set?!

I defer to you all.

Yeah, just trot on down to your local pik-a-part and pull that stuff off a '66 Charger !!!! LOL!

Which pik a part is that again???

The cable you can get new. Then you need the latch mechanism, the handle and bezel, and the clamps / return spring

Then the bezel won’t fit correctly in the dash.
Possibly you could go to a farm supply business or speed shop. Get a long choke cable and bracket. Create your own.

The 66 dash bezel hardware will not fit correctly. You need a 66 dash to do it correctly, then more hassel’s.
I suggest mounting the release handle on the bottom left side of the steering column.

I am replacing the dash cigarette lighter with a hood release pull in my 67 but keeping the original exterior lever. Kits are out there for the cable and find a way to attach. Get original hood release handle and bezel for the inside from a parts car or someone on here. If you really want, also get the upper cross support with the correct hardware.

Now you are unoriginal heh heh. Very good idea! I will still use our lighter socket to plug chargers phones in. But could plug into the rear one.
Offside, one of our 66’s has a metal block off plate so it cannot be opened from the grille side.

Yeah, also unoriginal in that I added a C body rear bezel to my console that has the light and cigarette lighter for charging.

I've owned a lot of 66 and 67 B bodies.

Inside hood release is extremely uncommon.

I imagine someone, somewhere has saved one, though.

I have a 66 charger and I’m not sure what it would take to transplant it to a 67. I’ll say this though, there is really no security aspect to them You can reach under the hood and still unlatch with your fingers In fact I end up doing that most of the time because I forget about the remote release.
So for me , no real advantage to it……but no , you can’t have mine.
