Warning to self

I don't understand. Is there really a "Cross Bronx Expressway" ??
Yes there really is. It is the truck route to Long Island from the George Washington Bridge. One of the most congested highways in the US. To leave 7 seconds of following distance there I would have had to pull my brakes on the upper level of the bridge and stayed there.

I'm one of those cool safety guys...har-har; your 1st indication is I own an old b-body. I was a machinist in my younger days then promoted to department foreman when we got inspected by osha. My boss who co-owned the company put me in charge of safety (this was a few years after osha was enacted). Funny as I had been dinged a few times for not wearing my safety glasses among other infractions. The work involved led me to go to college to get a safety degree and career. Not long after I was hired by a large (2000 employees) machine mfg who gave 2 shits about safety, our paint floor blew up causing severe injuries to a dozen guys. Osha fined multiple 1000's, our key customer (who had been waiting weeks for their million dollar machine that was destroyed) fired us, the department was shut down for 6 weeks and a bunch of people were laid off. The department manager was fired for blatant disregard for safety. Five years later after I was long gone working elsewhere was when I got deposed as I described in my earlier post. Long story to tell working construction later; but my post is too long...
