i was taking this 79 cordoba apart today and found the buildsheet Finally...
not in either one of the seats nor the dash, but under the carpet..
whats unique is the Newspaper underneath the build sheet, obviously put there by a line worker.
the date is thursday,jan 4th,1979
thought this was pretty cool, and also the first ad i saw while looking at the paper was for a Dodge.

Hmmm, ok, I have to ask what is that intake manifold?

thats a low deck big block Weiand dual tunnel ram, with dual edelbrock carbs.
it was attached to the big block 400 that was rebuilt along with the rebuilt trans and shift kit

they bought the car off ebay? i think,
drove it 15 mins and blew a freeze plug...lol.
so pulled the engine sent it off to the machine shop and we all know how that goes.
now its 30 over with a thumping cam and all new hardware everywhere.
if you look back up on the truck you can see the huge street E/t tires that were on the car.
i had to swap those just to get it on the trailer.

apparently they gave up after trying to install new headers and beating one of the tubes closed.
there was beer involved...
car never got put back together and sat there rusting away.
ive been looking for a big block donor for my other project and drove past this lurking at the far end of a driveway and left about 5 foot of brake marks.
the car was parked *** end out, originally i was thinking theres my disc brakes.
so i didnt even See the dual tunnel ram and carbs till i got to the garage.
and then it turns out to be exactly what i was looking for :bananadance:
one mans junk is another mans gold.
i bought the whole ball of wax for 1300,sold the car /roller stripped for 500.
then ill sell that tunnel ram and all the rest of the parts and hopefully have very little in the engine build.

im going thru the engine now, thinking nice heads and a streetable cam.:steering:

You could research that date to see what day of the week it was.
****E D I T *****
I just did. It was a Thursday.

Probably saw the boss coming and had to quickly stash it to avoid getting in trouble...I'm sure he was positive no one was ever gonna look under that carpet!

That newspaper is from my 16th birthday. :moparsmiley:

My Brother In Law's 72 Duster....When we pulled the interior rear side panel off he found three frisbees. Two were the circular halo type with the name Wham-O ! molded in along with a 1972 date. I'll bet they were in that car since it was new OR the frisbees were in the trunk and somehow shifted forward under hard braking, went over the wheelhouse and lodged below the popout window.
Is that even possible?

Call the number posting that 64 econoline and see if they still have it. I'd buy it for 500.00 lol
