Thought this would be the most appropiate place to say hi.
I have a 1973 Satellite Custom wagon.
318 2bbl,3 speed manual trans on the column, factory radio delete, and no power steering,no nothingg extra.
A real oddball that I would like to share.
Thanks for letting me join and I hear this site is vert helpful.

Nice old ride that you don't see very often. Welcome to our group!

Nothing special under the hood.
Too busy driving it to stop and clean it up.I had replaced the hoses since this pic was taken.
Wierd thing is wagons were required to have power disc brakes--but power steering was an extra cost option,LOL!!
Note no power steering...

Ok,here is another wierd thing that had other forums buzzing.
Being a late build she was born with the 9-1/4 rear tucked underneath.

I bought her last month from the second owner who will be 80 years young his next birthday.
He bought it from the original owner (his best friend) who lived down the street from him in 1997.
Built at the Windsor plant, the wagon was sold new in Toronto. It never left the GTA until I brought her home.
Most of the 58,000 miles were put on by the original owner. When he passed away, the 2nd owner bought the car and hardly driven it.
Yet,he kept the car maintained and ran it periodically sorta like a keepsake in memory of his friend.
His son kept renewing the tags, but as his father got older,he drove the car even less and even forgot to put the new stickers on the tags.(I could not road test the car since he had an expired tag in his wallet!!LOL)
Three years ago,it was time to sell. The price was unrealistic and too high.It did not sell.
Poor eyesight, and other family health issues kept the car in the garage and was low on the priority list. Not to mention he found it easier to drive a newer Buick with auto trans/power steering. There are dents on both sides of the car from hitting the garage.
Fast forward to this past July. The seller's wife was diagnosed with advanced stages of Alzeimers and the car had to go--one less thing to worry about.
I drove the 2.5 hours to look at it.
She's a keeper.
I put my other car up for sale and it took 2.5 months to sell it to buy the wagon.
When I bought it,only 200 miles were put on the car in three years!!
The car was riding on H78-14 bias ply tires that were weathercracked from age but the tread were like new.
I brought my own tires with me to install on the car for the long drive back home.

He knew she was going to a good home.He did not want to sell it to anybody.
The car is too nice to "cherry pick" the parts for other B body projects.
Plus wagons are prime demo derby cars so she avoided that as well.
Here is the seller and I on the day I picked her up.

The old guy having a moment to say goodbye to his beloved wagon..

In the last two pics you will notice the alley way that is shared by several houses.
The first owner's garage is the red one behind me in the first pic next to my 300.
The second owner's garage is the grey one behind the old guy which the wagon is facing.
Like I said, the wagon did not leave the neighbourhood,LOL

Fresh tires, gas, topped up the fluids and ready to rock.

Of course,I had help from my good friends.
Thanks to them taking the whole day to travel to bring home the waygun.
We drove in my 300 and Ray followed me in that car
Ray,me,and Doug.

Doug rode shotgun with me and took this shot of Ray driving behind us..

Waygun is the same make and model that the Brady Bunch used in their show.
With no radio in the car I had to endure Doug singing the "Brady Bunch" theme song--for over two hours..LOL
