Well I just dropped the bomb yesterday!

I quit in August this year for medical reasons, but plan to hopefully get back in the job market next year.

Ooooooh, be careful, retirement is not for woosies, you get no sick time, no vacation time and no holiday pay, and absolutely no overtime pay. Could be a shocker......haha, congratulations Sir. You ll love it!

Give them this on your last day.

Congratulations! I snuck out. 29 good years. Best job on the Planet IMHO. No parties. No endless hugs. Gone like a fart in the wind. March 2020. After taking the Train all the time, I actually drove in for the last day.

Not a retirement but it reminds me of when I left my position at Rhapsody and sent this out to the whole office, some might interpret what I said as a subtle dig, and they would be right!

One of the editors that created some of the playlists replied that she liked the one I put together, maybe I was working on the wrong team the whole time.

Well today is it for me, after 31 years with this great company I am excited for my future of family, travel, cars, working on cars, and cruising in my cars.
I’ve been a fortunate man in life and in my career.
This employer wanted 1 more year but I already did that 3 times and at 68 and healthy I want family time now.
I know many of you have taken this step already and are enjoying the hell out of it and know I will too.
56 years in the plumbing business was a great run and I loved it.
In my office now to pack my pictures.
Happy New Year’s to all of you!

... the company throws a retirement celebration in your honor ... but you're not invited!

Congrats! What kind of work did you do? Where in N. Idaho?

I was involved with flight testing. I worked from home for a great company. It was just time, I was bored and constantly thinking about finishing my cars all the time. Plus I needed to retire before I expire lol! BTW I’m way up in Bonners Ferry .

Congrats again! Aviation enthusiast myself. I run a manufacturing company down in the Boise area.
Get to work on those projects!

Thanks. I spent 30+ years working at Naval Air Warfare Center, China Lake. That was flight testing support too, but we blew Sh*t up! It was cool work for sure.

Job #1 is get power run out to the shop I had built last summer.
