Was driving home from the local Taco Bell tonight, trooper caught me doing 70 in a 55 a mile from my house(figures) I was honest about it all, said i was being stupid. $130 really hurts the wallet right now, but everyone has to pay a 'stupid tax' now and again i guess.

whats everyone's first ticket storys?!

Lets see,,,drag racing, stopping on an interstate and wreckless driving....all I might add in one night.

I can't remember that far back and all the other ones after that kinda got all blended together.I know i lost my license for three yrs in a row for getting 3 tickets in a yr.

It wasn't the tickets that really cost me. It was when the insurance company tripled my premium for 3 years.

Running a red light at an intersection where the road had caved in to a sinkhole, so I figured no traffic would be coming from that direction, especially at 2am. But there was open liquor in the car, a back seat full of minors (I was only 18 myself, but legal then), and a stolen 10-speed bike in the trunk of my '71 Charger (this was in '77). The first cop called for three backup cars... and my uncle happened to be one of the cops in the third backup. I got a very stern lecture and no tickets for any of it. They even let the kid who stole the bike keep it in the trunk, with a promise that he'd return it to where he stole it. :angel11:

My first ticket was reckless driveing drag raceing and 97 in a 55 had my moms 73 charger se 440 4 speed pulled up to a red light a mustang pulled up next to me reved it up it was on took him by 4 car lengths then there was the cop got us both cost me 396.50 one fine 100 se one one and 450 third one plus lost my licence for a year but had mopar braging rights lmao

geeez, dont feel so bad about a 70 in a 55 now....thanks guys

In Lake Side mall parking lot after hours...burning rubber..aka.. reckless driving...71 383 satellite..green in color...1984...had to go to court and got a *** reaming by the judge.... walked away scott free...after the *** reaming of course...best ticket I got.

I got my first ticket because I was driving like an A** hole. I was trying to race a Firebird on the freeway and of course the cop got me and not him. Wised up real quick after that.

hang it on the wall in the garage ,its now wall art:headbang::grin:

my 1st driving award was retarted 56 in a 55 by a female state highway patrol officer she also felt it was nessicary to search my vehicle after she was done searching all of my trash (soda bottles and some empty cig packs ) were no longer on the floor but on my seat i raised enough stink about it and told her sarge that also showed up to check in on her. he then informed the lady to put all my trash back where she found it. i think she was PMSing went to court over it the judge threw it out and told the officer if she ever brought in another nonsense speeding violation he'd suspend her

now thats friends in the RIGHT place...

oooooooooooooooooooooooooooh ,,,the stories i could tell you guys about tickets....but ill keep this one short.

in South Park Pa in the early 80's ....( yes there really is such a place)... i was in my first 70 Road runner. all the cops knew me by name and one night they all decided to give me a hard time....long story short.. i racked up $3000.00 ( that's three thousand) dollars in fines in one night.

drag racing on the hi-way
*** end too high
tires too wide
pipes too loud
tires bald
pipes not exiting the rear of the vehicle
brake light out
destruction of state property...( i guess this was the burnouts i left on the street)
reckless driving
things hanging on the rear view mirror
speeding
back talking an officer of the law ... lmao

needless to say the insurance went wayyyyyyyyyy up and my car slowed wayyyyy down !

having my license for 25 yrs...i really can't remember all the tix. I had a mentor in HS, who was a local cop..so once i got to college, he gave me one of those engraved brass family member cards..which got me out of everything short of murder and destruction of property..I am happy to say, well...I won't say anything-probably just jinxed myself!!

I'm the biggest fan of red light cameras there is. :) Speeders don't worry me. People doing "California Stops" don't worry me. But ******** going through red lights just scare the crap out of me. When you're light goes green, and you're focused on entering the intersection because it's supposed to be safe to do so, only to get t-boned by some jagoff who slept in and is late for work and decides he can't wait that extra 30 seconds for the next green... if it were up to me drivers who run red lights wouldn't get a ticket from the camera. They would get a shotgun blast through the windshield.

i will never forget my first ticket.was helping my dad finish a 71 challenger,440 4 spd,and he said to take it around the block for a little shake down.well, started to drive it a bit and i heard a tiking noise under acceleration.(turned out to be a clutch issue)so you got it,i was intently listening to the noise while stepping on the gas and suddenly i see lights flshing in my rear view.so he gets me for 82 in a 35,car was a bit faster then i thought it was.now for the part i wont forget.get back to the house and inform dad of what had happened and even plead my case about listening to the noise.well, the next thing i remember, was becoming one with the wall of the garage.actually left an imprint of my body in the sheet rock.(ya i had to fix it)dad always did have a bit of a temper.took about a year before i got to drive any of his cars after that one.:angry9:
