Does anyone know why some Superbee Ramcharger air ducting on underside of hood is orange while others are black? I've seen the same year cars side by side (both 383/auto) yet one orange, one black? Both were true N96 cars too.

Wondering if it is based on exterior color?

I believe '69s were black and '70s were orange. Please correct me if I am wrong. If so, maybe one of the cars you saw were using the incorrect ducting? I was wondering if they were the same physical shape/dimensions as well.

Maybe some late '69s got out with the orange duct work???

Correct 69's black, 70's orange. Don't know about the late and early car possiblities.

Thanks, that makes sense. And as far as the two cars I saw, it could have been a "production change over" gap that somehow got the orange ducting on the one 69 as I have no idea of build dates. I'd be more suspicious if the cars were not so unmolested.

I have heard that some early 1970 got the black ramcharger.
