What is this 318 Valve Spring

So when working on the Lemons Coronet we ended up finding what looks like a valve spring retainer. Here is a picture. These rings are only on the intake valves. The exhaust ones are different.



Any idea where I could get a new one. Is it needed at all? I think it is especially as this car will be seeing loads of future track time. All the other intake valves are fine. Car runs fine without it and was probably on track with it bouncing around.

It looks to me to be an exhaust valve. The other two to the left of it are intakes. Can you get a pic of the next valve spring retainer just out of the pic?

Looks like a two piece retainer that has seperated. I've never seen one like that. Maybe someone else on here has. It's not part of the spring is it?

Looking at some pics online they appear to be a two piece retainer on the exhaust and the one in your pic has seperated for some reason. Maybe they can be replaced with solid ones like on the intakes? I'm not a 318 expert by any means.
