Because I've snapped it in two pieces. Can I order a new one? Also, where does that white wire lead? Thanks all.

Ignition key lamp. It's an option.

The item pictured is the lamp and optic assembly for illuminating the ignition switch. It connects into the time delay wiring.

The following images show the lamp assembly, the time delay relay, and the time delay wiring diagram.

The broken piece is a light pipe. You might be able to glue it together with a transparent epoxy adhesive. The wire color is yellow, but likely faded on yours.

Thank you guys so much. The issue I'm having isn't with that piece, its with my brake lights. When I wiggle the hazard light switch back and forth, the brake lights come on and off, while I'm pressing the brake pedal. So I removed the signal switch to see what's going on and I just barely touched the end of the ignition light and it broke. Im still trying to understand why my brake lights are working intermittently while wiggling the hazard light switch.

Thinking a little Gorilla Glue works miracles

The brake lights go through the turn signal switch. Your turn signal switch is going bad.

Yep get an NOS chrysler switch.

It's brand new, lol. For the record, its not NOS. It was from RockAuto.

Best from China. Rock auto will take returns.

The TS switch was probably the most high tech and un- cloneable part of these cars. But they do look simple!

I've looked up NOS switches and am seeing prices in the $500+ range. The switches on Moparts look the exact same as the Rockauto, unless someone can correct me on that. I mean it is what it is, but damn that's a big chunk of change.

You can usually find NOS switches on Ebay for $300 or less. And yes, they are worth it.

Yea, that POS repo switch is offered by many sellers. Indeed, the correct numbered NOS T/S switches are getting spendy. If do some homework the ’70 and up switch head was used well into the 80’s on various other platforms as well. I’ve picked up NOS switches for non-tilt vans or trucks fairly cheap and spliced in the correct cable/connectors for use on these older cars.
