What is this

I took off my valve covers to replace the gasket and this came rolling out. What is it and where does it go? Currently looking through my manuals, but figured I'd ask here too.

I don't know, but I'm going to guess it is the poppet from a PCV valve.

Pressure control poppet from the pcv valve? Isn't there suppose to be a spring that goes with that?

That's kinda what i was thinking. I put in a new pcv valve a few months back. I guess it's possible this is from the old one.
