Apparently I have the ability to see flaws everywhere even when I try to ignore them. This is a great quality for a an INSPECTOR but not so good at other times. I have tried to emulate my Wife in this regard, zipping my lip when the urge to "correct" someone gets to me!

Let me add to this:

I have the "habit" of being overly optimistic. I see a job or project then think it will be an easy fix. Often times it really is a case of biting off more than I can chew.
