What Part/s Did You Buy Today for Your Hobby or Project ???

Oil, zip ties, red oxide and chassis paint, a small swivel wheel, a hook tool to pull brake springs, and probably some other stuff to take home. I still need some two part epoxy resin.
Have a chain saw to pick up at the fixit shop. Will be a busy spring.
From Amazon, ordered a 700 watt oil filled heater, and a fuel bowl and tap for my 41 Ford tractor.

I ordered a bunch of miscellaneous window and trim parts from Detroit Muscle. I have some stuff on order from Mancini Racing, but I’m convinced they don’t have anything in stock. They take months to get things shipped.
Been years since ordering from Mancini but they were good about getting the stuff out. Does Jeff still work there? He at times was a bit short on the phone but he was the one for answers.
I'm buying guns. I'm not getting anywhere with the engine rebuild.
Thinking about buying some silver. Have a buddy about 250 miles away that can use more tooling I have and he wants to pay with silver. Some is good and some isn't so good but still worth dealing with lol
didn't buy it but boy am I tempted, check out this gorgeous shifter for a 727, trans for display may not be a 727 as they make them for a lot of trans

That'll be great for the non 'stick shift' drivers. There was a news story on a local channel about a guy went to hijack a car and couldn't drive it because it was a stick!! LOL
I received Billy Godbold's cam book. Time to get re educated on bumpsticks and what else is part of the system. The last time I read anything on cams was an old Peterson tech book when I was in high school around 73/74. Basic Cams, Valves and Exhaust Systems.
Did that too with the old Peterson books....it opened my eyes pretty good. Today's VCT's are crazy and as long as they don't mess up, they are cool and a Z71 Colorado V6 making over 300 hp is pretty nuts. The Hellcat Challengers are even nuttier but don't have one of those laying around....and I still don't know that much about cams!

I bought a set of headphones yesterday. I can watch the bike races, or other stuff, while Shirley reads or cooks.
That way I do not produce any external sounds.

I need (or want) to buy new wheels (maybe get new wheels & store these in the shed)
& good snow/mud tires for my 99 Dakota SLT 4x4
they are still a lot of tread, even after 42k miles
Toyo Open Country Hybrids A/T-M/T, great tires
32"x11.5"/15r

I'm thinking about going to 16x8" wheels & 285/75/16r tires A/T
a tad taller & narrower, like an 1" on both
the ones (current 32x11.5/15s) on my truck are '25 years old now',
it does sit in the garage when not driven
but it's a worrisome deal having cases that old
even if they don't show any sings of cracking or rot, no weird wear at all
seems like such a waste 'but'
$300 to $330 each (when not on sale) there abouts
& mounting & balancing too $1,600 for 4 tires
(I really want a spare too, so another $300+ the wheel if I get new ones)
with wheels I like $2,300-ish 'on a deal' (w/register rings & lug-nuts)
if I don't do the spare too,
it's/that's another almost $500+
probably do all new Bilstein N2O shocks when I do it also, another $400 to $500
Do you put the truck on jack stands when in storage?

Fuel water separator for my duramax. I ripped a tiny little wire, and couldnt solder it back, melted plastic
Almost $40, at local parts house. They had a house brand version for $25, but "not available" (at all. Only the Fram). I needed it today.
Care to bet what ebay price was? (I don't ever buy car parts on line)

$12.

Do you put the truck on jack stands when in storage?
it's never been in storage, just garaged when not driven
it gets driven like once or twice a week,
me not working/retired, not having to go many places,
has it's privileges/benefits
Most my miles now are taking my dad to the Dr. or the ER
& shopping 15 miles each way, a couple times a month

when the weather clears,
I will install the new wheels & tires
nothin wrong with my old tires (42k miles & still a crapload of tread)
& wheels, just 25 years old casings,
& I wanted new wheels, 1' larger diameter, so I could get the right tires
Lt285/75R16, Falken Rubetrek Aw4
change things up a lil'
an 1"+ taller & an 0.5" or so narrower, good for snow
& I hope we don't get much, not a fan of cold anymore...

my car/68 RR is on jack stands in my 20'x20' garage
doing some updates, waiting on parts, brakes & suspension
new ignition system, dist. :blah:

makes it hard for enough room other than just parking my truck in there...

We got a collapsible fishing rod for Shirley to use while in her kayak. I got a plastic bin to put the spare motorcycle bits in.
Sign said $20, 20% off, $10. So I said I would buy it, if it really was $10.
