i have a change to buy a one owner all stock 64 sport fury 383 4 speed survior 100k miles with a very small rust in the lower rear behind the tire never seen salt
Yes, we members of mopar heaven would hate to see any particular member suffer! such distress to be forced to purchase a super hard to find old Dodge! I know, start a lottery! We would all love to remove your burden!Lol
Seriously, pictures would help. if it is a clean car, you will be shocked at how much it would bring.
the owner is old and very nice guy bought it new but i cant take photos and post he ordered it new 383 4 speed am radio sure grip rear heater and white wall tires has fender tag and i am sure it has b sheet and more paper work
If you are Interested in Buying it you will probably have to ask him what he really wants. Most older people are as concerned who gets their car as they are how much it is worth.
20k Isn't as much as it used to be, especially when they are a one owner and so close to original. It comes down to how badly do you want it. 4-speed 64's are super scarce cars. A 318 pushbutton car like that would be 12-15k in my opinion.
I would check the history very closely, if he has a bunch, why did he buy and keep this one? What are the others, and how long has he had them? That will tell you a lot.
If you have the funds, try to dicker with him some but in the end, give him what he wants.
The problem is, when word gets out, it's gone. Then you miss your chance at it. If it takes too long to make the deal, he could end up changing his mind. You can't you go wrong with that car.
my cousin went to high school with him he starting to sell stuff do to age and health he takes care of his stuff
thanks every one he has his price and is firm the on the price the way i found out about it was through my cousins that know him and know i am into mopars
My thoughts two different prices reflecting buying to kept or flip.
Get price down as low as possible flip.
Pay a fair price to both parties and enjoy your car.
Yeah, your never going to see another one IMO, one owner 383 4sp car that's a good color...
I've been watching 64 Plymouths for that exact combo for about 10+ years and have seen only a very small handful that were not nice cars.
If you have the means and it's something you've wanted, not to flip, play the man.
I just bought a car last weekend with a similar story. I know I paid too much but I'm keeping it and I'll bet I'll never see another like the one I bought.
What you described, very little, it sounds like $20k is good. You don't get a whole lot for $20k anymore. If this car is registered and running reliably you can't go wrong.
