Where did you and your car go today

Went for a cruise today, I was gone about 2hours. Checked out the river.

We have several places where they have 405 outlaw races, in this area, this is one of many places where the locals with small tires go to set up their cars. That's been going on for many years, when they were really held in secret. There is one place where the police watched, they knew it was going on and it turned into fun for all. The black marks there cover the whole street and go on for hundreds of feet. This spot is in the middle of nowhere and is new.

Going back home!
20221018_122513.jpg

This is fast lane, a few miles from my house. They have about a hundred cars in four or five buildings for sale. If you ever see a car for sale at fast lanes in St. Charles and need someone to check it out, PM me, I'd be glad to have a look at it for you!

And if you do see a car there don't get your hopes up too high, many of their cars are 30 footers. I pwrso ally saw a Daytona there that had paint so thick it was cracking and curled like drying mud in the summer. It was quite thick and you could see the layers. They stood there and tried to tell me it was factree. They ran off when I told me my brother may have built thw car and no factory paint job looked like that.
Then there was thw 80s Hurst/Olds with new stripes applied on new paint....over the old factory stripes and they didn't come close to being aligned with the old. They said that was also factree.
Many of their cars are early sellers at the auctions. Many are on the consignment circuit. And no haggling.
They also had a 69 Z-28 with a "factory 454"....
OTOH some cars are very nice.

It was to nice out today, so as always, I was out and about. There is this BIG building that is FULL of cars. As I have said before, they ship to different auction houses all over from there.

Drove through Old Town main street and people everywhere. I was asked to pull over or they just stopped me in the street, they liked the car and I don't have to tell how the stories go!

Drove the Coronet to go get a gallon of milk. Which is the same price as gas today...

My dad had rotator cuff surgery, and I’ve been going over to his house to help out. I didn’t take my mopar out, but the scenery was just too great, especially the sunset!

Milk just over 6 dollars a gallon, gas at Costco $ 2.99. Other stations about $3.12

Here, Super (real gas) is $4.69. Milk is $4.73.

Of course, the cheap-assed E10 corn-squeezin's are right at $3.10, but I will not run that crap.

Both my cars run great on it, when in Rome do as the Romans do.
