At Chrysler they check if your airbag works by running it into a tree........:lol:once!!!
On my Durango, I've had the navigation system replaced and two or three reflashes on my computer. They sent me a recall for something almost a year ago and said they'd contact me when the part was available. 2019 with 21,400 miles on it. Me and it are doing time. I've got the itch, but it doesn't make sense. We'll see.

Many years ago I got a recall on my 97 diesel for the throttle cable.....and was a member on the TDR. Several members said that their truck didn't run as good as it did before taking it in for the fix so, I never took mine in. IIRC, bought the truck used in 2001.

Youngest daughter and myself took the old hot rod to Culvers last nite for ice cream

Daughter in question. Older picture

She loves driving the car

On a side note.
A couple weeks back I took the car to a National AACA event

I was approached a few months back and requested to register the car at this show.

So wife and I talked about it and decided to see how it would do in an actual judged event

We came away with a 1st Junior in class
And deep down this was a 1 time thing. IMO for me to get any better would require more work to upgrade the car. Which equals less driving of the car than we like to do.

But, I gotta admit, It felt good to win this one.

I know several people with diesel trucks and those with dodges that are really into them, would never own anything newer than a 2006. Emission free.
Some of the things I've seen over the years from Chrysler make me shake my head.
The problem with any brand these days, as far as gas engines, is smaller displacement and pump them full of turbos. Turbos are great and getting better, but 150+ thousand miles on one is looking for turbos failure and costly repairs. These days I see more cost, more electronics and less reliability. My hemi trucks were great, but I will always miss my 360 Dakota.

I just drive mine almost daily , I get no satisfaction sitting in a parking lot for half my day while older people point out every flaw in my car and then complain about young people not being interested in the hobby . Not all car shows are like that, just all of them in my area, back to work I go

A few days late to say what I did today, but I was pleased that over the weekend I was finally able to retrieve my Magnum from winter storage. I bought a leftover new Scat Pack last summer, despite having no garage space for it. My plan was I'd store it over the winter so it would only spend around half the year outside exposed to the elements. In fall I decided it made more sense to store the Magnum winters as the cruise season when I drive it doesn't start here until May. Saturday I was able to get a ride up to where it was stored, and got to see it for the first time in over 6 months!
An original owner 68 Barracuda Formula S 340 that had kept the Magnum company over the winter was getting picked up at the same time, and was cool to see out in daylight!
Then after getting home, I had to shuffle part of my fleet around to free up the garage space for the Magnum. Move the Ram, get the Scat Pack out of garage, then pull all the cars back into place, etc.
Sorry the new car has to be outside, but I'm happier to have the Magnum back home! Took it to a local cruise that evening which kicks off another season with it. Hopefully I can get it down to Moparty this year. I planned to do that last year, but terrible weather forecasts had me changing my mind of putting in the effort of trailering it, so I drove the new car instead.

Lately, I've given thought to a new car. I don't collect cars, I use them. I almost PMed a guy about a 1966 Dart and then I thought, how about a van, I've done two for me and more than a few for friends when I was a teenager. I know a guy with a Dodge Van that would love to sell it. No room at the Inn, one comes home and one would go. You do what you do and screw the rest. Let The Horses Run!!

I love 69 Grand Prixs and 70 Monte Carlos. When it comes to Mopars of that size, I really like everything about your Magnum!! From wheels to the right color combination and straight and clean. Well done!!!
