Where did you and your car go today

Car shows and cruises can be a bit strange if you take them to seriously. This one in the picture was one of only a few I've been involved with. See that White car behind my Coronet, it won. I got a model that sat on my car for a photoshoot. The white car was mine also, my Saleen. The trophy went with the car when they came and trailered it off. In my eyes, it's just another car to have fun with............... Next.

Where’s the Model?

Where’s the Model?
A photographer and this gal came up and asked if she could sit on the fender for a few shots. I was busy talking to a guy about my Saleen, parked behind my 65 and really didn't give it a thought. It started and ended in a few minutes. Most of these shows end up promoting one thing or the other. If I had a picture of half the crap I've been around or involved in, I'd be selling books!! LOL.

Was a little busy to post but for fathers I went up to Lubbock to visit my dad in “his” truck, I maybe the one with the name on the title, Lil Red is from his family, so I had to take it up there form him. And what a journey it was! Left after work and tried to haul butt. Got bad gas in a podunk town on the way, had to fix that , so the 4 hour drive turned into a 5 1/2 hour. And on top of that I was racing a severe thunderstorm coming in, luckily it dissipated, but lightning lighting up a dark sky is absolutely beautiful!

Then on the way home today we ran into the other band of another storm. The dust and rain was so bad I found a nice spot to sit for half an hour, and then it was just light rain the whole way home.

It’s always an adventure, and it’s always fun! Just risk it, take your car out on a roadtrip, what’s the worse that’ll happen, you’ll have a cool story to tell?

Went back up to Alderbrook Park with @halfafish, my BIL John and our spouses after meeting up at my place.

My Comet and @halfafish 's Dodge Ram Prospector.

Finally talked John into bringing his badass blown Dart. Every male under the age of 126 was interested. There was a surprising number of 20 somethings that wanted the details. He's owned it since he was 17, built every bit of it and loves to share the info with anyone who is interested.

While at Alderbrook we were invited to a fathers day show at a local church. I decided to go by myself and met several friendly folk. I ended up next to the only C8 in attendance.

That was great!! Thanks for sharing!!

Thanks for you pictures. Picture #2 shows how similar Chrysler's Daffodil Yellow and G.M.'s Butternut Yellow are.

As much as you work, just like a lot of us, I hope you put a few dollars away in an investment account. Your money doubles every 7 to 10 years and I've seen it happen in 3 to 5 years. The sooner you start, the sooner it doubles. No amount is to small, as some may think. One investment of 2,000 dollars at age 23, is now worth around 80,000 dollars and I never added a penny to it. I only say this because I think you have your head on straight, and you're headed in the right direction. None of my business, just an opinion. Ulli.... Be safe!!
