I have the stock rallye dash in the '72 Satellite Sebring Plus (no tach or clock). The steering column has an anti-lock mechanism that may cause havoc mounting the tach on the column (the tach model IT-477 only comes with the little crossbar for mounting it in the dash). Trying to find some place to locate it so I can it's easily mounted, easily visible and looks cool. Thank you for any suggestions.

Not a lot of options that don't look retarded or hinder seeing the other gauges. Back in the day we would just screw them to the top of dash but since those pads are now over $1000 I would not recommend that.

Personally I would just get a rallye cluster but if that isn't an option then hung below the dash might be your best bet. Guess you could make a pod and mount it outside on the hood.

If you are creative you could make a bracket that basically slides onto the back edge and then has screws to hold it via tension, that way you are not having to drill a hole into the hood.

Of course there is always the hose clamp around the column...

It won't be 'NOS' once it has been affixed to your car.....just saying.

I had my tach (not vintage) mounted on the steering column, but didn’t like that it blocked speedo and some of the other gauges. I relocated it to attached to the bottom of the dash.

What? You're not going to use 3/8x3" self taping screws straight through the top of the dash pad?

(Gee, it boils my blood when I see that)

OP would have to find a "clock" cluster to do what post 7 suggests, but that's what my goal would be if it were me.
