First flown in 1955, the Saab 35 Draken was Europe's first supersonic fighter, active until Austria finally retired them in 2005. Incredibly aerobatic, the Draken was the first fighter to be able to do the 'Cobra' maneuver.

Here's a line of them traveling from the Linköping airforce base to the factory airstrip while the base runways were being repaved. It would have been cool to be in that town! (This was in 1966)

With final versions capable of Mach 2, Sweden also sold them to not only Austria but also Finland and Denmark, with the United States buying six for the civilian National Test Pilot School in California.

It's unlikely that she flew that Spitfire, or any other airplane more than once, as her job was to transport and deliver them. She actually flew at least 90 different aircraft types, and was the first woman to deliver an Avro Lancaster bomber while in the ATA - flying constantly, 13 days on and two days off for over five years during the war.
