Wonder what has been developed since and is still under lock and key by the feds?
My guess would be that the evolution of this with better jet engines is what we see on the news today as "UFOs" flying in US airspace around bases and ships...

It's an "AVROCAR" developed and tested in Canada by the United States

It was developed and tested in Canada by Avro Canada, under contract for the United States Army and Air Force.

USAAF Major Richard Bong with his P-38 Lightning aircraft 'Marge', date unknown
He was the leading USAAF ace in WWII. He was close friends with Maj Tommy McGuire, the second leading ace and McGuire AFB was named after him because he was a NJ native. Both men are Medal of Honor awardees.
