Hmm . . . I thought it was a Cessna 152 but it doesn't have the root extension on the vertical stabilizer. What is it?
 
An interesting bit of information thought I, as I read through the handbook.

Does this infer that some pilot had broken the sound barrier in the jet? It reads as though this was a repeated test. This was written in Jan. 1946.
Probably, but not officialy, and/or they did not survive to tell about it.
Same with the ME 163.

If they could report that normal flying control was restored when the sound barrier was exceeded, I would suspect that someone survived to make that claim.
