There was also an early car that that used a rear mounted rotary engine. In a rotary engine, the crankshaft is stationary, and the cylinders spin. On a radial, the engine is stationary, and the crankshaft spins.

Add to that, a couple of motorcycles using a rotary engine. Such as this Felix Millet, from 1897. Notice the five cylinder engine attached to the rear wheel.

Lancaster?
Yes, it was a popular test bed for jet engines. Avro in England used it to test Rolls Royce Ghost engines prior to their use on the Comet, and Avro Canada used them as test platforms for the Orenda engines used on the Avro 100 jet fighter. Sweden also experimented with jets attached to a Lancaster.
