The Chengdu J-20 is in full production, with over 300 of these Gen. 5 stealth air superiority fighters already having been built.

Early versions were powered by Russian engines, China is now using their own Shenyang WS-15 engines, developing 36,000 - 40,000 pounds of thrust, enabling supercruise and mach II performance.

The forward canard wings also tilt fully down to provide braking drag when landing.

Always amazed me how a plane that big is so limber and maneuverable !

Only transport to be flown with a "joystick". Was sitting in the cockpit of one at the last Selfridge ANG show, talking with the crew. They had a few stories of landings and take-offs...under fire in the middle-east.
