Delta's DC-3 Ship 41 is my sentimental favorite. My father flew this for Delta back in the 50's, I have his log books with the 41 tail number entered, and many years later my son in CAP at the time guarded the ship during a local Peachtree City, GA air show and got a free ride back to its home base in Griffin, GA afterwards:

Woody Lindskog has a scrapbook full of memories. In the foreground are several medals he received for valor during World War II. The medal by itself on the right is the Distinguished Flying Cross he was awarded for attacking the Yamato, the largest battleship ever built in his Hellcat fighter

Prototype Mosquito night-fighter with an experimental 'Youngman' frill air-brake around the mid-fuselage". This was an attempt to prevent the a/c from overshooting it's targets, but the much simpler method of lowering the undercarriage was adopted
