F-100C at an airshow, with 335gal wing tanks and various air to air and bomb armaments, including nuclear "shapes". B-47 and F-102 Delta Dagger in background. Sometime late 50s' i would guess. I have 2,200h in the Super Sabre.

Reaching speeds of Mach 2.85 with its single engine, and first flown in 1960, the jet wasn't put into production, but was used for research into high speed flight. It had a ceiling of over 74,000 feet.

I thought you guys would appreciate this wrap. I saw it at Home Depot and asked him about it and he was very happy somebody asked and we talked for a good solid 30 minutes about it and my Dad working for NASA. I felt my day was complete after that.
