Who likes SPICY food ??

Recently I got my 23 and me DNA results....BIG surprise, I am 99.7 % European White guy.
I do love spicy food though.
Most Mexican restaurants around here seem to cater to the mildest of taste buds. It is a sad thing. I like it with some kick. The Wife does too.
I don't like it HOT just for the sake of being hot though....It has to have flavor.
I'm making a meal tonight I have titled "Butt Fire Tacos".
Jalapenos, Habaneros, onions and an an online copycat recipe for Jimboy's Tacos seasoning.
Jimboy's...Popular here in CA but maybe not so well known elsewhere.
I know the food is good if I am sweating while eating it.
Oddly, only the LEFT side of my face sweats from hot food.
Do you like it spicy too ?

What makes up the 0.3%?

Forget spicy, I'm still in shock that Kern is 99.7 percent white! Hard to believe from all the shirtless photos!

I love it all! Pepper-based is awesome..horseradish and wasabi are great too but a different kind of hot. They immediately go through the roof of my mouth, through my sinuses and out the top of my skull....the burn lasts only a few glorious seconds whereas hot pepper stuff can burn for 20 minutes...and if it burns 'on the way out' you got problems! Either you need to get more probiotics in your diet or make sure to eat a little ice cream with it..

I like spicy but don't like my mouth to light off and spit fire. The Cajun seafood hole in the wall that's down the road closed for remodeling and was missing it the first week. So far no word if they are even on schedule. Anyways, I even like my spaghetti spicy but eating jalapenos by themselves, naw. I like the taste of them but not the ones that are nothing but fire but don't like the ones with no burn at all.

I like a good Chili, Cajun spicy and just had some Jalapenos filled with Peanut butter wrapped in Bacon and smoke grilled. Now that I am moving to S. New Mexico I need to go to the World Chili Cook Off in Terlinga Texas. If you know beans about Chili you know Chili dont have beans.

Eating spicy foods could lead to dementia, study finds
The study, which appears in the journal Nutrients, analyzed 15-year data from over 4,500 Chinese adults age 55 and above,

I'm sure as hell glad I'm not Chinese! Why don't they use the whole world instead of making a point with the Chinese? I disagree for that very reason! If Mom happened to grind a little to much black pepper into a dish, Dad would have a major shitfit about it, he past away at 85 with Dementia!
My roots date back to before the Pilgrims! English, Dutch, Norwegian, European, it wouldn't surprise me if there's some black in there somewhere? I didn't really like or care for hotter/spicy foods until I spent 4.5 years in Louisiana in the A.F. That's where I acquired a taste for certain flavors, spices, and heat. I don't understand these people that use 1/2 a bottle of hot sauce on/in like a can of soup and kill the whole thing?? Why don't they just drink it straight outta the bottle and leave the food alone??

I like spicy, I like hot too, but not really too hot,
when it's too hot you can't taste the food

I love hot and spicy. A Mexican restaurant here has a Red Tomatillo sauce that is amazing.

I like Hot & Spicy everyting Man! I put Hot Giardineira on my Spaghetti and Mostacholi,
I bought a Justin Wilson cookbook for all of my Cajun favorites, and I make cold-pack
pickles with dill, garlic and five Jalopeno's per jar for a little "Kick". You gotta be creative!
Just don't eat the seeds if you want to keep your sphincter from screamin!

The study, which appears in the journal Nutrients, analyzed 15-year data from over 4,500 Chinese adults age 55 and above, and saw a more rapid cognitive decline — double the average risk — in those who regularly consumed more than 50 grams of chili per day. Notably, those with slimmer builds experienced an even steeper decrease in memory and cognition.
