got my 360 going and just love it,, only problem is in the coolant, (just water) ive got foam, when it over flows a little, a cream colored foam drips on the floor.. it stays foam for about a miniute or so then turns to water,, Im running rough at a idle, and down the road feels like its just not there like it should be, like a cyl is just not doing what its supposed to... I tried little stop leak but its still very foamy,, when you take off the rad cap,its solid foam... any ideas tech boys?

You have a blown Head gasket, the foam is from Oil getting into your cooling system. You can pull your plugs to see if any look white from burning coolant and or have a leakdown test done.

Which type of stop lead did you use? The foaming is likely from that. Years ago I tried some of the (IIRC) Bar's Leaks brown pills (at least that's what I think it looked like) which was foamy after being added and circulated in the system.

Stop leak additives are risky in that it can create blockage in your radiator or heater core. They may hurt you more than they help.

I think he put the stop leak in after the Foam started and not before.

You need to rule out a leaking head gasket. If you really can't replace the head gaskets right now I have had superior results from "blue devil" it is a different type of leak sealer that is thin as water but makes a permanent repair. I think they even have a money back guarantee.

actually I put the sealer in after I just overhauled the engine,, i think it was call silver seal in a small tube,,, powder with a new alluminum radiator and no heater core, i wasnt worried about cloging anything up,, I guess i didnt know that stop leak could make foam in the engine...

I'm not sure that silver seal will make the foam you're talking about. Bars Leak pellets will make a foam for sure. Is it using any water? Is the oil level on dipstick rising? If you've got new parts in there you really don't want to damage them. Do or find a mechanic to do a leak down test just to be safe.

If you're only getting foam in the cooling system and the oil looks OK and you have an auto trans it could be the radiator trans cooler (I had this happen once).

Silver seal wont make it foam.Did they or you use soapy water to clean the block after hot tanking or the boring?Might be just some soap in the cooling system.
