Will a '76 Charger roof fit cleanly on a '74 Charger?

Again- go buy one of the windshield trim pieces from the roof you are considering.

...or take one from your car and see if they will let you try to install it on the donor car.

That will tell you if the shape of the metal around the windshield is the same.

I am pretty sure the rear windshield is different, but I suppose it could technically be the same since the edges, which are part of the quarter panel are where the difference is.

If the glass is good in the donor car, a challenge will be to extract the roof without breaking it.

the rear glass is more vertical and sligtly curved, so the rear edge of roof skin should be diff too to acomodate the glass on the diff angle too.

To me it also looks like the side glass area is more horizontal on the 75-79.

That might be an optical illusion because the door top is more horizontal.

The windshield is taller on a 77 Córdoba versus a 71 rr. I just use it to plug the hole. Not sure if this helps. Good luck.

ahhh ok I didn't actually understand what you were saying until this explanation- great idea!

I saw some guys in another yard taking a '73 roof about a year ago and they were forced to just smash the windshield- it would not come peacefully. Hopefully that is avoidable
