im trying to put a roller cam in my 440. can i use the roller lifters from a 5.9 engine to save some money?

I don't think so, but don't quote me.

Oooops, sorry. :D

Probably best to Google the specs on both and make the choice based on the results.

You'd have to find a way to keep them from rotating, something like the "spider" holddown the Magnum 5.2 and 5.9 had.

The diameter is the same. Some hydraulic flat tappet vendors show the same part # for LA series and B/RB so This isn't a dead issue. As I mentioned, there needs to be a way to secure the roller lifters to keep them square to the cam and to NOT rotate. The valley area would need to have holes drilled and tapped to mount the "spider". The Magnum version would not fit due to the larger size of the B/RB block. You'd have to make one custom.

Interesting concept. With a little thought it could be easily done. I bet you could sell quite a few.
