Will TF240 heads clear a 383 bore?

I can't give you the answer to your question but, the MAX wedge engines had notches machined in the cylinder bores just for clearance and flow. Maybe?

We are all just guessing but if your engine is numbers matching maybe it shouldn't run TF's. If not it would be easier for you to use a 400 block. Trick Flow's make a whole lot of power and would prefer a 400 block. Maybe this isn't what you want to hear. I'm just being honest.

Have you checked to see if Stealth heads would work with no mods? If so, they look at lot more factory than the Trick Flows.

When Porter Racing did my stealth’s, he cut the intakes down a couple thousandths to clear a 4.28 bore. Ron said a 4.31 bore (.060 383) would clear no problem .

Actually, it should have been the exhaust that got cut down.

On a std bore 383, the 1.81 ex valve can start to contact the side of the bore at .525” or so lift.
Some of at what lift contact can occur is dependent on the core shifts involved with both the block and heads.

I had no issues with stock valve dash 1s on a .060 383. But quite a bit of clearanceing to fit a .650 lift with MW heads again, on a .060 383
