windshield trim fastener removal

Hi Guys,

I was successful in removing the broken windshield with all the great advice.

the trim clips/screws that hold the chrome window trim are all corroded. Any advice how to remove?

Drill them out.

Soak them penetrating fluid, the tap the top of the screw driver as you turn, should come out pretty easy but there is always some that will fight you every step of the way.

I took a Dremel tool with a small cut off wheel and cut a slot in them. Then I just used a flat head screw driver AND just screwed them out.

I took a dremel tool with a abrasive roll and ground the old screw heads down to the clip and used a sharp pointed punch to knock em loose. I only did this on those i couldnt remove. Dont forget to primer these spots before u install the new clips.
