I have read lots of posts and stories about how the dealers back in the day would convert Daytona's and Superbirds back to Chargers and Roadrunners so they could sell them.
I have NEVER seen anyone post that they found one of these cars and restored it.
Anyone here ever heard of it happening???

Back in 1975 I was working at a gas station in Denver & a guy I worked with had a yellow 440 road runner that was originally a super bird. He was trying to sell it but I couldn't come up with the $1,500 that he wanted for it.

Dealer in Utica Mi. did that to a Daytona. They had a 500 that also sat for over 18 months. Everybody wanted the hide-away headlites for that kinda money.
