My 73 Roadrunner has wipers only at fast speed, position 2 on the switch.
Do these switches have a resistor for lower speeds like the heater motor circuit?

Yes

Thanks, but my switch is different to that. Haven't got a pic handy, but it's a round switch with no obvious resistor on it.

That switch pictured is from a 68-70 3-speed. The 73 2-speed wiper motor has the resistor on the motor not on the switch for the low speed. I have a correct 73 RR 2-speed switch in good used condition and also have a tested working both speeds and parking, wiper motor available, correct one for the concealed wipers. PM me if interested

Moparparts - do you have a pic or pics of that switch? I just might be interested in it if UKPlymouth is not. How about a 3 speed switch?

Thanks Moparparts, I need to test the resistor on the motor.its a long list of electrical items I'm looking at. However, when I took the switch out I noticed that one of the terminals was loose and pulled out of the switch with the wiring block when I removed it and tht may also be a problem.
I have sent pm about the switch and motor, thanks.

Try earthing (grounding) the metal body of the switch with an indipendent ground wire and then test.
