worst car show

YT is really difficult to tolerate. it seems they offer you stuff they want you to watch , and that’s it . if you search they variety changes up some , but eventually you get back to the same old offerings…. which is ok really as that’s when i shut the damn thing off ….maybe i’ll find interest in a clip or two but then the interest fades …..

They are spoon feeding us what they want us to see.

I just watched GYC for a solid 20 minutes, never lasted that long before, But I was eating my dinner and it happened to be on

10 minutes to solve a fender emblem mystery...... riveting TV......

and then 10 minutes watching the white hair dude do everything possible to destroy an initial fire up and cam brake in.......

cranked engine for at least 20 seconds to prime the oil system, while wiping all the assembly lube from the cam......

then he was spinning the distributor like he was tuning a radio, first backfiring thru the pipes...... then thru the carb......

after about the 5th try, he got it to run..... barely

then "tuned the radio" for another 30 seconds before he got it up to brake in speed

........all while explaining everything to the girl like she's 6 years old

is everything we're told about cam brake ins bullshit? cause this guy did everything they say not to do.

You are the man!. I tuned to a recent(?) episode where Will's son was painting a yellow van. Those parts were fine, but anything with Mark was intolerable. I don't think I lasted 10 minutes, but it felt like hours even though I muted it after 5 minutes.

Will is their biggest asset if you ask me. This must be why the show has lasted so many seasons.

I like when Tony D' comes on GYC and constantly correcting Marks comments....
Tony should get his own show.

how can they not know how to light an engine? and what is the purpose of putting such floundering on tv?

I can't watch the show anymore. If they focused on showing people how to actually do the work, I could credit the show for being educational. I wasn't bothered much by Mark's silly pranks and jokes, it was that ******* idiot "Cousin Douggie", the white haired dipshit that is about as sharp as a marble. The painter looks like a Star Wars Wookie with the bullshit beard. Why do dudes grow their face bush like that? It looks friggin stupid.
I actually met a former worker of their shop....

He said that pretty much everything on the show was staged, faked or misrepresented. The builds were often WAY over the due dates. The woman that plays "Alyssa" isn't really Mark's daughter. The painter often has to redo cars that he sprays. Douggie really is skilled but still very dim witted. He sounds like Carl from Sling Blade...The dude that could fix any broken lawnmower but couldn't count to three.
