Hello,

Greetings from NorCal. I'm in the market for a '69 Bee or Coronet but the picken's seem pretty slim from the standard sites on the web. Anyone have any websites you may know of, other than Hemmings, Mecum, etc. that might have something? I have found a couple, here, and I'm guessing the Mopar forums would be a good place to start but since I'm just getting (back) into Mopar stuff, I'm still kind of a Mopar search virgin.

Thanks much!
Mikey

this below, has a few every so often decent priced

Any of the rest of the Joey's sister sites

or here in the MoPar Marketplaces classified & forums,
read the rules, before you start posting

it's limited to specific questions about the car listed/or parts etc.
do most of the contact thru a personal conversation
click on their name & go to start a conversation,
about the car/parts etc.

Yo @MikeyM , you can use Autotempest to run a search with a number of filters including make, model, year, price, color, tranny type, mileage, location (distance from you) and more. It searches multiple platforms including Hemmings, Ebay, Craigslist, Marketplace and others. You can be as general or specific as you want. I often search with just 1957-1973 as a filter to see what's out there. Good luck!

Be careful on facebook,
lots of scams, & we're constantly hearing about news one

Hey all,

Thank you so much for all the info. The gods of all things automotive must have been shining down upon me, as I have found a potential candidate. I really hope it pans out but, if not, I will keep searching.

Thanks again,
Mikey

Just in case it doesn't pan out, or just want to browse

seen some great deals on cars & trailers,
or bailed on projects 75% done & they give up (good deals)
or on some great used parts & racecars too
from rollers to turn key operations
& not just racecars either

If you show us what you’re looking at, there are very knowledgeable people here, that can comment. Or not if you are the private type.

Thanks all. RR Dan, thank you. Here is what I'm looking at. I've already spoken with the contact, a very nice informative lady. She and her husband apparently have many connections in the Mopar and drag racing world and are looking to retire and go a different route. I feel pretty good about it after all of the information I was given and sent. Even was offered to get all receipts from the places they sourced the parts from. Classic Cars for Sale | Hagerty Marketplace . This is right up my alley and is pretty much what I was looking to do to whichever car I ended up with. It's an SB clone and not numbers matching but that's not important to me. I mainly am looking to bring an older Mopar more into the modern age with maybe a gear vendors OD unit, AC, maybe power windows, AC, etc. and let others enjoy it, as well.

Thanks,
Mikey

That’s nice.

We'll see how it turns out. Red wouldn't be my first color choice but with everything that has already been done to the car and the condition it's in, it makes sense for me. Plus, I figure if it's a little too much, I could probably swap the intake for a dual plane and get the torque curve lower and flatter. The big thing for me, at first, would be an OD unit

Mikey.

Did they say what gears are in it? Are you going to keep the manual transmission? There are lots of threads on here about the OD tranny. I also saw one for sale on here recently. Do a forum search. I did an A518 conversion on my 68 coronet, to replace the 727. If you are going to switch to automatic, I would recommend looking into other options other than the 518. Worked fine, but not after a lot of headaches and some ghetto engineering that couldn’t be helped.

Looks very nice.

Thanks, Dan. For now, sure. I'm going to keep everything currently in the car to get used to it. With that engine setup, though, that seems like a bunch for a street cruiser. Although it has been a LONG time since I've been into hot rods. Ultimately, The SS OD trans looks like a really good candidate if I do decide to swap it out. The 4 speed that is currently in the car looks to be a hemi 4 speed based on the numbers. Do you happen to know the model of that trans? Heck, maybe I could sell it to help fund an auto swap. Who knows. :)

Here's a '69 Coronet on Bring A Trailer. It has some nice upgrades like fuel injection and four wheel disc brakes.
