Wow factor get hellcat engine or twin turbo 383-440

aloha all what your thoughts about the hellcat motor in a 70 roadrunner? Or a twin turbo/ prochagerd 383-440. And we are all looking for cost and a budget. Cleveland p/p sells a full pallet hellcat everything or custom twins or pro charger system?

I looked at one recently, and they want $28k plus shipping for a decent Hellcat on a pallet ready to go. I imagine there would be another $10-20k just to get it fitted in the hole and started up.
Then you still have to do tunnel work and body mods on top of that. It is no easy swapout...otherwise everyone would be doing it.

Well you know budget lol realistically I was thinking 50g but it will be a long term build and I feel it will be closer to 70 lol

The Cleveland guys have a used engine with everything it’s a turn key pallet lol. Gage fuel tank wiring harness and so on.

Try muscle motors.They make a new block.Its a low deck.You can do Hemi heads or wedge heads.I would do the Hemi heads with your budget and a pro Charger. Want to Wow.GEN 2 is king.

I had an email reply quoting that price for a complete engine and trans ready to turn key....shipped on a pallet.
Shipping is extra....and they pull these out of smashed up cars.

Ah, transmission included, that's worth a bit right there. Gotcha. When they say 'turn key', do they mean ready to install into another hellcat, or do they mean it includes all the extra hardware and electronics that the engine needs to run in another type of car? The Chrysler engine kit includes "powertrain control module, power distribution center, engine wiring harness, chassis harness, accelerator pedal, ground jumper, oxygen sensors, charge air temperature sensors, and fuel pump control module". The factory computers are finicky, if they're looking for a signal from the gas pedal, or battery temp. sender or a dozen other things and don't find it, you get no start. Hmm, seems your building a show car, I personally would be most impressed by a twin turbo gen 2 hemi.

There are a lot of nightmares you can't see with that Hellcat-on-a-Pallet thing. It runs on the pallet, but unless you are going to bolt everything they send into your car, there will be electrical gremlins to tackle that are not tangible. Not to mention the tangible packaging for the floor pan and that 8spd trans/ driveshaft predicament, wheel speed sensors, even the brake switch creates an issue when going to the Gen III. I'm not saying its not worth it, I have a Gen III I plan to swap in the next year but figure in the price of the engine/trans, then most likely a HOTWIRE wiring harness and associated accessories......Edelbrock has an 808hp supercharged 426 Gen III for that kind of money(27K) that comes with a two year warranty and probably requires less to get it to run than the Hellcat. Anyway, since you asked neither of those is the most economically feasible hp/$. Depends on what you think you want in your car. HP/$, the RB or even B strokers win. $11k for a 600HP RB, $5-7K for a supercharger/turbo system installed and it bolts in to your Roadrunner.

Yeah I was looking for prices. And options I’m in Hawaii and I’m thinking of sending it to the upper 48 states and just get it done 50-60 gs. Hawaii is way to expensive and don’t even talk about shipping lol. If you know some good car builders let’s me know I’ll look on the other forms to see who can build one
