Mine was a vinyl top car as well, I went back and forth on it and decided not to install, I think it will get it when I paint it again, looks so good with it

Yes, I really like the contrast between black stripes and a black vinyl top and bright colors or red, like TorRed. Also, a well detailed vinyl top in good condition is just another attractive aspect of our classic muscle cars.
Looking forward to seeing it!

Yep, those eye popping HIP colors (and even some non-HIP) and the matte black (and in some cases white, red or blue) sure made an industrial design statement.

In fact, IMO it's VERY hard to top them with any other "custom" paint.
