Yellowstone-the election is over.

My daughter came over and we watched in on te it on the new TV. She showed me some stats on people signing up for the Philo streaming service. It was amazing. It overloaded the system, some people couldn't log on.

I was one of the people that did not watch it. My wifes friend convinced her that she needed to watch it. Well needles to say after 2 episodes I was hooked and we binge watched 4 seasons.
 
Does that mean I need to drink this if I watch?

This show - although I like it, I cannot root for the Duttons in most anything.

I work in prison, I was the Co-Chair of our states gang committee. What they do is nothing different than many of the gang bangers.... they have their turf, they bribe officials, they kill anyone the feel is getting in their way, they "brand" those in their crew and kill them if they leave.

This show literally could be shot in downtown Chicago with the same storyline - just the scenery would suck :)

Again I like the show, I just find it hard to root for felons and those committing felons. There are great storylines within all of that which I really enjoy.

Now, like all my friends when I bring this up, you will all tell me I am crazy.... until ya really stop and think about it - then like always I am right.....LOL

This show follows a trend wherein the main characters are "antiheroes".

Antihero

An antihero or antiheroine is a main character in a story who may lack conventional heroic qualities and attributes, such as idealism, courage, and morality. Although antiheroes may sometimes perform actions that are morally correct, it is not always for the right reasons, often acting primarily out of self-interest or in ways that defy conventional ethical codes.

Look how popular The Sopranos was.
 
It is the Montana Mafia, plain and simple.
Beth is an obnoxious cun*. She is a prime example of an immature bully who thinks that her way is the only way and pushes through everything like a bull in a china shop. Crass language from a woman has never been interesting nor attractive to me. In fairness, I don’t like men that cuss that much either. I understand a person being strong willed but the way that character is written could have been very different and it would have been better.
The opening theme is dark and depressing.
I rarely feel good after watching an episode. I dont feel entertained either.
 
If you don't like it don't watch, pretty simple...

it is adult TV for 'damn' sure

It's just fiction, take it like you do Graveyard Cars
just with far better scripts/storylines/actors, and production...
(far less grabassing)
In reality, almost anyone knows, all that **** would never happen
to one family or one ranch Billionaire, it's a fiction/fantasy/some think it's good entertainment
it is 'to many/most' & it's just TV
you can always change the channel
it's not state TV yet

I don't usually really care about ratings
on any TV show, I watch what I like, if it keeps my attention
(my dad really likes it too)
not a bunch of stupid grabass ****
(or really bad humor/dancing singing etc.)
I like horses, rodeo & cowboy/ranch ****, the music too, the animals & scenery
occasional attractive ladies/cowgirls :bananadance:, cool trucks/trailers etc.
(basically a 'Ram Truck' commercial all episodes :poke: )
But the rating are right on, for this show, they are spot on
yes it has it's moments, like any show does
most are better than or not/crap
(the T&A I could do without, but it's part of the show)
The guns, drinking, sex, cursing & gratuitous violence
are for real 'adults' entertainment for sure...

If you don't like it, don't watch it, don't ruin it for everyone else
(hum, where (or from whom) have I heard someone say that before ?)
