You ever notice how quickly your old accent comes back when you're around folks you grew up with. We lived in Kansas but when my mom was on the phone with her Norwegian relatives in was all, Ya Ya instead of yes. I don't think my grandparents knew how to pronounce J's at all, it always came out as Y's.
