i need to replace the axles on 66 satellite. the car is strictly track. making about 510rwhp. any help would be welcome

There is a few brands out there that are good. Moshers , Strange , Yukon and over on Moparts a guy who's handle is "Doc Diff" deals in them and he usually gives board members good prices. Ron

Automatic? What's the weight of the car? Spool? 8 3/4 rear?

If there still in business, Mark Williams, can be added to that list maybe....

Would try to find 35 spline axles should be readily available.
Been years since I built a high performance 8 3/4....are 35 splines even available for one? The last spool I had for one was stock count.

Btw, a totally stock Dana 60 would work but might not pass inspection on the axles if you are fast enough to require aftermarket axles and it sounds like you are.

Cranky...VERY VERY much soo...they have even come down in price.....lolol a little....

What's the diameter of the 35 spline axles? Can't be too much bigger than what the side gears can handle.....

Will probably go with mark Williams. My question is what do yall think the car would run in the 1320. Its a 440 .10 over with a edelbrock top end kit (2087).727 torqueflight transmission with a Dana 60 rear end 456 gears.950 holley dp carb. Car weight is 2850.

Not only what cam/// but has anything been done to the TF(ie: shift kit, gear change, Trans brake.....) stock or modifed rear suspension..... at the weight stated
low to mid 10's speculating.... need a bit more data....

your running BOTH a 4 link AND ladder bars???
I'm still thinking maybe low to mid 10's on a good day......

ladder bars only. sorry for confusion. will be changing out to coil overs and narrowing rear end.

Cranky I believe Dia is 1.500..... I can chk into it if you'd like
I see MW offers a 35 spline spool for the 8 3/4......

link to the cam.

there is a line lock. rear suspension is 4 link ladder bars with air shocks. rear tires are 31x13.5 mt slicks. gear ratio is 456
Are you using air shocks as a replacement for your leaf springs? Sounds to me like you are well into the 10's and well, with the experiences I've seen with 8 3/4's going that fast, I'm leary about using one. Yeah, there are guys that say they are going even faster but imo, they are on the edge with them and again imo, something better would give you a higher margin of safety....even a stock Dana 60 would do that but you would have to use aftermarket axles to pass tech inspection. Using a spool in the 60 would reduce the weight some but the stock Power-Lok would do the job.
