I was wondering if anyone has removed the bumperets from their 73 charger. I just think they look tacky for the car. I also was wondering if someone has before and after pictures of the work.
Thanks

Actually, I did this two days ago to my '73 Charger. It took about 5 minutes (even with rusty bolts) and looked much better except for the two holes in the bumper. Once plugged with bumper bolts it looked fine.

Do you have a photo...maybe before and after?...curious about this. Marla

You need a 9/16 socket to get them off, and it took me about 15 minutes to get a set off a 73 Roadrunner. If the bumperettes are all rubber, they are held on by one stud each. If they are the rubber and chrome ones, the front two are held on with a single stud, but the ones on the rear use two studs, one at the top and one at the bottom.

Mine left a couple of lines in the chrome but I could not stand the bumper guards.

If any of you have a set of 73 charger rear bumper guards(standard style without the deluxe chrome extension), I need atleast 1 in good condition. One of mine was damaged a few years ago
Thanks
