I can't make up my mind between Cragers and Torq thrust D's for my 66 satellite. Tire size is 235/60/15. Anyone have any pictures with Torq thrust D wheels on their 66 satellite
Lots of good options for the car, but even though I have TorqThrusts on my particular car, I might vote Cragars on yours...Or maybe Radirs for a period and slightly different look.
Torq-thrusts look great on your year of car, i actually think they look a bit more then just great ... Wheels are like choosing a color now a days, There is so many of them, its a tuff question and in the end your the one who needs to like them.
I bought that Satellite in 1967 when it was only 6 months old. A triple black 383 4 speed. I looked at custom wheels then but decided I liked the OEM caps best.... still do. The blacked out grille was really the only thing I changed.
The Chrysler engineers and designers hit the nail on the head with that car.
The red 66 with the magnums and red lines is a tempting combo though.... love that look.
I have Sanders wheels on the front and an early set of M/T on the rear. M/T no longer available in this style but Sanders are. You can get them at S&W Race Cars in PA. or American Racing sells them as TrakStars.
So I make up my mind to use Torquethrust D wheels. Guess what, back ordered until first of June. Dealer told me they have been back ordered for quite some time and each time they set a delivery date it gets backed up a month since last year. Must be one hell of a slow boat from China.
I have some polished aluminum slots on mine, old school. But swapping for some welds. I like the torque thrusts personally, even if people say they are just a trend, doesn't change my opinion.
