What Oil Filter Brand Do You Use or Recommend?

Personally, I like the WIX brand of filters. They hold up well for heavy machinery and agricultural applications, so if the quality is there for those apps, it's there just the same for cars and light trucks.

I use Bosch.

I've started using the Amsoil filters in the cars I'm running Amsoil in.

WIX or NAPA same.

Moparts has a group buy. I bought a yrs supply for each of my cars, van etc. Way cheap and Way better then Fram or STP at Auto Zone.

Wow, that article was interesting, I'll be changing brands! I noticed the research was a little dated though. I'm going to read on.

I use 1515 Napa Gold on evrything I can make it fit on, including 2.2 engines, 3.0 v6 engine, etc

The articles opening line "These pages are NOT to be taken as gospel."
I've used Fram and WIX sense 1962 kept my oil changed and never spun a bearing in an engine I built. So I'm not about to change brands over crap like this.

GO WITH THE WIX!!! I had a fram for a while that SOMEHOW ended up with a hole in AS I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE FREEWAY which resulted in a NASCAR style cloud of oil smoke and the oil pressure in my BRAND NEW MOTOR dropping to zero, luckily I was able to stop before any damage was done, the floor pan is still recovering from having oil sprayed all over it though.

I love the WIX one, much thicker body than the fram.

depends what size motor? bigblocks use the mobil one small block use wix. look at the small holes those are your oil return holes the bigger the better and only filters i have found like that are wix for your small block and mobile one for your bigblock

Knn little more expensive but good mobile one is cheaper but still does a good job

Been using Purolator Pure One oil filters and Castrol GTX oil for the past 12 years. I believe Amsoil claims their filter can go up to 10,000 miles before it gets changed. However those filters are pretty pricey. Mobil One makes a good filter but at ten bucks, that is still expensive. Purolator Pure one has the exact same filtering results as the Mobil one, but at a much cheaper cost of around $5 or $6.
